Function

Cooperative societies having area of operation restricted to a district.

  • National scheme for cooperative farming
  • Training to the field officials of the cooperative department and office bearers of cooperative societies in book keeping, maintenance of accounts, minutes book, preparation of loan documents etc
  • Appeal under section 64-A of the cooperative societies act,1925 against order of the subordinate officer with regard to the matters relating to the cooperative societies with area off operation restrained to Tehsil / village and having share capital of not more than Rs. 5000/- or as may be prescribed by Provincial Government from time to time
  • Development schemes pertaining to cooperatives as per delegation of power
  • Service matters pertaining to officers / officials as per delegation of powers
  • Purchase of stores and capital good for the district

Loan procedure

Loan to cooperative societies

The managing Committee of the Cooperative Society collects the demand of its member i.e fertilizer Seed, Pesticides etc & submit a consolidate document to field experts of the Department i.e Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors. The field fumitories guides & then get prepared the following documents from Secretary of Cooperative Society.

  • Consulted demand of member
  • Maximum credit limit of each member of societies
  • Resolution of society for supply of loan
  • Agreement with bank
  • Specimen signature of member body
  • The field staff recommends the loan documents & forward to the respective branch of the Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Ltd, loan always been advance on half yearly basis i.e on Rabi & Kharif crops. Loan up to 02.00 Lac are advanced without pledgement, while loans beyond Rs. 02.00 Lac are issued after obtaining the pledgement of Agriculture loan. At the time of advancement of loan, presence of four members is must in bank. The managing Committee of the Society after obtaining loan, disburse it to their members as per their demand.

Individual loan

Beside of usual loaning through Cooperative Societies, Individual loans, in shape of Medium Terms Finance for the purchase of Tractors & Dairy Farming loans etc are also being  issued to the members of Cooperative Societies. These loans are issued on providing two guarantors (Members) and on pledgement of Agriculture loans.

Registration of cooperative societies under cmp-ii scheme

A special scheme under CMP-II is being launched at various union councils in Rahim Yar Khan Tehsil. 55 societies have been registered under the scheme.
