Secondary societies | Rahim Yar Khan

There are two Cooperative Farm Service Centers at Sheikh Wahan (Rahim Yar Khan) & Khan Bela (LQP) with 95 members (Societies). The value of their share capital and working capital is 7.12 & 4.95 respectively. Both the centers are supplying Agricultural inputs to the members of the societies at less rates than market. The Cooperative Farm Service Centers Sheikh Wahan & Khan Bela is also providing facilities for the repair of Agricultural Machinery of the farmers.

Local Market A secondary type of Society namely District Cooperative Supply & Marketing Ltd, Rahim Yar Khan is functioning since 1984-85 with its 505 members of societies at very economical rate than. Both the centers are functioning under his Department to supply all type of agricultural commodities to the members of the societies at economical rates and also providing the facilities for the repair of agricultural machinery etc.

The Society was registered by this Department on 03.10.1956. Since then the society is functioning from his own funds & providing facilities of loans to its members on a nominal mark up. The membership of the society is 1021 as per audit report ended 30.06.2001.

A scheme for strengthening and development of cooperative movement by Organizing Cooperative Supply & Marketing Federation was sanction in the Punjab during the year 1984-85. The District Cooperative Supply & Marketing Ltd. Was registered in Rahim Yar Khan District on 08.11.1984. At present 505 cooperative societies are its member. The Federation is supplying Agricultural inputs to the member of the societies at very less rate from the market.
