Health Authority

District Health Office, under the charge of District Health Officer, was established for the first time in the district in 1969. In 2001, it was replaced by the Executive District Officer (EDO), Health under District Government. On January 01, 2017, District Health Authority was established in the district with the Deputy Commissioner as the Administrator, and a senior doctor as Chief Executive Officer. The Authority ensures the provision of healthcare and supervision of health facilities in the district. The District Quality Control Board also functions in the district under the overall command of the Deputy Commissioner in order to regulate the sale of drugs. At present, there are a total of 948 registered Points of Sales (POS) in Rahim Yar Khan.
